Arvin Ganesan, Associate Administrator for the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations
Arvin Ganesan serves as Associate Administrator for the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations. In this capacity, he is responsible for advising the EPA Administrator and managing the interactions with U.S. senators, U.S. representatives, state governors, and mayors. Prior to his appointment as Associate Administrator, Arvin served as Deputy Associate Administrator at EPA, focusing on legislative affairs from March of 2009 to June of 2011.
Before he joined the Obama Administration, Arvin served as Senior Policy Adviser to U.S Senator Frank R. Lautenberg, where he provided counsel on environmental issues, focusing on global warming and water quality issues. Ganesan holds a B.A in Economics from the University of Massachusetts/ Amherst and a Masters degree in Public Administration from the George Washington University, where he focused on environmental policy.
