Risk Assessment and Modeling - General

The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) has defined risk characterization as a description of the nature and magnitude of human or ecological risk and the attendant uncertainties. Risk characterization is the final step in risk assessment and is primarily used to integrate the information from the other three key steps (i.e., hazard identification, dose-response assessment, exposure assessment).
